snow going to melt soon?

We met our friend Kevin (mom, Madelyne) at a fun place today. Tired all of us out! With the cold we have to find indoor fun! Jane Ellen is feeding herself and enjoying foods. She is also getting into things ... I leave for a minute and she is eating the phone!

Jane Ellen's baptism

Today was a big day for Jane Ellen. Her baptism. Thank you to everyone who came to support her and us as we begin our journey as a family in God's faith. Thank you to her Godparents, Michelle (for coming all the way from Ontario to be a part of the celebration), and Laura, Bryan and Daniel (our companions at mass) - we know Jane Ellen will grow in great faith through your example and prayers, thank you. Mom and Dad (aka Oma and Poopa) and Elke and Darwin, thank you for all your help in the preparation for this big day. We are truly blessed to be surrounded by such kind and helpful hearts and amazing cooks and bakers too! Thank you as well to those far away who wanted to be here and sent their blessings ... you were a part of this celebration in spirit!!

Yesterday marked the first day of spring with beautiful warm weather. Today brought a snow storm. The priest suggested to the congregation that we should pray for spring to come back. You better believe we are!!

Weather is starting to smarten up and Jane Ellen loves being outside (so do I!).

Sitting up all alone!

One nice day and we were outside for all of it. Poor thing, Jane Ellen was so tired she fell asleep for the night at 5 pm!! Can't wait for spring to come!

Cold Calgary

-20 isn't our idea of March. First day of spring is to be March 22. We hope to see ladybugs and buds. We are playing lots indoors and hanging out with family and friends. The mall is also a fun place to be these days! Jane Ellen is sitting up now and trying many foods. She likes certain toys now and doesn't seem to care for others. very interesting.

6 months today!

Jane Ellen has shown us she can sit up, walk and stand with just a little help. She is growing up so fast! 6 months old today. Caleb and Reiley thought we should celebrate with ice cream cake. Last week she went to the airport to pick up Oma and Poopa and had a great time with Cedar at Tante Elke's house. She just loves the boys too!
